Waking up to the dawn chorus off the birds to the bushveld. Enjoying your morning coffee with the company of antelope, zebra, warthogs, birds and other small animals only a few steps away.
Traveling
to the wildcat sanctuary for an enriching opportunity with a guide to observe
the lions up close in their natural environments. We will be able to visit the young lions,
cheetahs and other predators.
The sunset
game drive is a special occasion, having a sundowner as the sun disappear on
the horizon, staining the sky red.
Leaving the
game lodge for the elephant sanctuary to encounter the gracious gentle
giants. Educational tours, conservation and
close encounters/interaction with the elephants (under strict supervision from the sanctuary staff) are key points of the visit.
Being able
to observe the wildlife is a privilege that must not be reserved only for a few
chosen individuals, but for everyone.
MARULA LODGE: We are situated in the Waterberg Biosphere located in the northern Limpopo. Marula Lodge is inside a nature reservation on the hangs of the Waterberg. There are 6 Bedrooms - 2 with en-suite bathrooms and 4 which share 2 bathrooms. Daily games drives, healthy meals, snacks & beverages are included.
We acquired the property 10 years ago for our love for animals and family time.
While
teaching our sons, family and friends about the animals, we came to the realization that
everybody should be able to experience the wildlife up close and personal.
We decided
to open our house to visitors to share our passion for nature and conservation.
We strongly
believe that all must be allowed to connect with wildlife in a different way
than just through pictures.
